Dizhou tong’s old house

It loates at tong village,Yinzhou district of ningbo, China.

Dizhou tong( 1902~1979 )is a famous biologist. He is the founder of the laboratory embryo。he solved the problem of wenchang fish’s artficial propagation.

Sea products play the important role in ningbo economic. Many fish producers get very rich.

From his old house we can see that Tong lives a simple life.

Suan keng village

Suan keng village (Chinese: 算坑村) locate s at Yuyao,ningbo,China.

There are only several families in this village now. So it’s very quite like a place separated by the noise world outside. Look at the stream walking down from the mountain, the old houses with aged walls, you can feel the peace from the static scenic view.

persimmon forest village locates at Yuyao,ningbo,China.

In the autumn,the red persimmons hang on the trees on the mountain and in the village, which is a beautiful scene.

It’s one of the two most beautiful villages of ningbo ranked officially. The another one is tengtou village.

Nantang Old Street

Nantang Old Street(Nantang Ancient Street,南塘老街) is located in the ancient south gate of Ningbo City. It is one of the eight historical street blocks of Ningbo. Once upon a time, it is the hot fair gathering places of ancient Ningbo. Now there’re many small stores, some selling foods, some selling goods, including some famous local refreshment bar, like 宁海五丰堂、余姚黄鱼面、慈城四季香年糕、慈溪豆酥糖、奉化牛肉面、东钱湖十六格馄饨、鄞州全丰记.

Bean Candy

The bean candy(Chinese: 三北豆酥糖, pinyin: sān beǐ dòu sū táng).

There’re four steps to make it as the following described in Chinese, and we’ll not translate them into English, instead, we’ll take photos or video, or show you at the scene :

1.拌粉:黄豆粉、熟面粉、糖粉混合拌匀,然后过筛。
2.煮糖、将饴糖、油下锅熬制,根据气候不同,一般熬到110~120℃,即成老糖(熬好的饴糖)。取出放在传热的容器内,炖在热水里,保持老糖的温度。
3.制糖:将黄豆、熟面粉和糖粉的混合粉用锅炒热,取出少量撒在操作台上,然后放上老糖,表面再撒上热粉,用擀面杖擀成方形。将热粉放入其中,再将老糖两面相互对折,用擀杖擀薄,然后再放热粉,如此重复折叠三次,最后用手捏成长条,顺直,切成四方小块,然后用木条挤紧压实。
4.包装:用纸把豆酥包好即为成品。因豆酥糖容易受潮,以贮藏于铁皮箱里为好。 质量标准:形态:外形方正,大小均匀,包装平整。

Lotus Root Silk Sugar

The lotus root silk sugar(Chinese: 三北藕丝糖) is a traditional food of Cixi. In late years of the Qing Dynasty, it was brought into the court and greatly favored by the Empress Dowager Cixi.

  In the late 19th century, the lotus root silk sugar also enjoyed great popularity in Japanese and Southeast Asian areas. The Cixi merchant Wu Jintang selected it as a gift for the Emperor of Japan and it was highly praised by Japanese imperial family.
